50 years ago today, Catweazle was first shown on ITV.
It was a Sunday and the time was 5:30pm.
The episode was 'The Sun in a Bottle'.. and the adventures began.
How time has flown!

Fifty years of magic, the wonderful legacy of the likes of Kip Carpenter, Geoffrey Bayldon, Robin Davies and all the cast and crew of the most magical and touching children's TV programme ever made. That we have lost so many of those who made the series so very special makes this celebration a touch bittersweet, but, to sneak in a quote from another of Kip's brilliant creations, "Nothing is ever forgotten". Kip, Geoffrey, Robin, Bud, Neil, Moray, Elspet, Peter and so many, many more... they will be remembered always. Happy 50th to all Weazlers, and particularly to Carol and Gary who have done so much to keep Catweazle in the public eye, while building a community of like-minded Weazlers!

Hear Hear, and men to that.
What a fantastic tribute to this marvellous series. 50 years to the day and we are still revelling in it's magic and memories.
