Let us remember.. Hazel Coppen, who passed away on the 8th April 1975 aged 50.
Born on September 27, 1924 in Roseville, New South Wales, Australia as Hazel Ruth Coppen. She was an actress, known for The Avengers (1961), Nicholas Nickleby (1968) The Larkins (1958). She played many roles in film and television including Emergency ward 10, Love thy Neighbour, For the love of Ada, Press for time (film with Norman Wisdom).
She died in 1975 in Marylebone, London, England.
We remember her as Mrs Woodyard in the 7th episode of the first series.. 'The Telling Bone'

Yes, she was great. If you listen very carefully, when she rings the bell at the vicarage you hear her say ding dong rather that the bell actually ringing!

She was on episode 18, series one of The Adventures of Black Beauty (1972) playing Mrs Allingham who was thought to he a witch! Just watched it on YouTube and thought I recognised her as Sam's mother.
