Dear fellow Catweazle fans,
Since a couple of days I have the honour of being a Catweazle Fan Club member. My story is not very much different from that of many of you: born in the early sixties, I well remember the weekly black and white broadcasts on Dutch tv. Catweazle has stayed with me over the years in memories and cherished, regularly used Catweazlian expressions and sounds.
Now I have a tiny collection of Catweazle stuff: dvd's and books in different languages (English, Dutch, German) and even an autographed picture of Geoffrey Bayldon himself. Recently I acquired a dvd box set with the complete series 1 +2 British edition (Network 7952266 and 7952267).
This set has various interesting extras, but so far I could not find the pdf-files (Richard Carpenter's original script, Annuals, miscellaneous), which I had been looking forward to very much. Am I doing something wrong ('Nothing works!') or could it be a software-hardware problem? I would be grateful for any advice.
Many thanks in advance and much magic to all of you!
Martinus

Welcome to the forum, Martinus, and thanks for your post. We'd love to hear more about the Dutch TV broadcasts (when were they shown, what channel screened them, do you remember it being popular, did you buy Jamin Junior comic? etc)... As for the DVD, are you looking at the DVD on a standard DVD/Blu-ray player or on a computer drive? You need to be looking on the latter to find the PDFs. (Navigate to the drive contents using Windows Explorer or Finder on a Mac.) Best wishes, Alan

Greetings Martinus, and yes, a warm welcome! As per Alan's sage advice, I believe that they are on the fourth disc of the British edition - having only downloaded them myself about a month ago The contents sleeve though will list their location too if you have it. I'm happy to help if you a draw a blank in your search however Warm regards, Brett

Hello Alan and Brett,
Thank you for your much appreciated help and advice. However, I'm afraid I still haven't found what I was looooking for ;-). Yes, I tried on a pc, but somehow seem not to be able to find the drive contents (I tried Windows Explorer). And the contents sleeve of the DVD box doesn't say where exactly the PDFs are, only that they are included. Tried the fourth disc again, but to no avail. Maybe I should take the box to my work and ask the computer specialist there. I'm not particularly clever when using computers, sorry.
All the best,
Martinus

Hi Martinus, Given that you have the DVD set, I definitely wouldn't have scruples in sharing the PDFs with you Martinus, as I've downloaded them and they're sitting on the PC that I'm using to type this reply I don't think that that breaches the spirit of any copyright and really, I think that they should be considered to be public domain as they're not sold separately to my knowledge Kind regards, Brett

Hi Martinus, I did email you, just to be clear, so hopefully they've reached, even if via your spam folder first (?) I apologised for only having the Series One scripts saved - which reflects my serious Series One bias! Kind regards, Brett

Thanks Alan - saves me saving them to my HD first, which otherwise, I actually might not have done.

Alas, Brett and Alan, I haven't received any PDF mails so far (also checked the spam folder). Take your time, I'm in no hurry.

You should have something for me now which includes all the PDFs.

I just copied your address via "highlight, copy and paste', with the title 'The Working Scripts'. Hopefully Alan has found the magic formula! I might have run up against more stringent size limits because it was an email over 20Mb (?) If you don't receive Alan's either, then I'd try again by splitting the email, but hopefully, all is well

Hello Alan (and Brett),
Everything worked! Truly thou art the greatest, Alan!
Can I do something in return?
Fare thee well,
Martinus

I'd be interested in any thoughts you have about any of the scripts once you read them Martinus, so, if you share them, I'd definitely value that
