Hello Claire! Gosh, yes, its totally reminiscent, so its surely too much of a coincidence not to be it, given its proximity to Homefarm! Nice sleuthing indeed!

Hello there, well itโs actually thanks to our dear Carol, and also you! I saw an old post on the Catweazle Fanclub Facebook page where Carol mentioned it being filmed there. I also saw that post that you had pasted with a link to the pond, and then had a look on Google maps, and then had a look at the website of Hatchlands. ๐
I remember Sue Duce and Graham advised me that Albury Park was used for the Magic Face episode.

I will say that I think that the way that scene is introduced - with Carrot and Catweazle gently floating on the pond, lines in fishing, on an idyllic spring or summer's morning - is so evocative and confirms so poetically the easy trust and familiarity of the two. The musical accompaniment flourish is perfect: speaking of peace and harmony on a completely agreeable day.
I would visit it if I were at all in the vicinity: it's one of my favourite locales in either series.

Yes. I could hear birdsong clearly too. A lovely lovely scene.

Yes, there's a strong chorus of birdsong through it - just sparkling with spring or summer magic. It's also extremely memorable for Catweazle's introduction to bananas of course
