A thread to share your photos of the 50th (belated) anniversary of Catweazle that was held at Hexwood Farm!
Post as many as you wish.
A caption on each would be helpful.
.. and your memories of the day / weekend.

Well, to date, no one has posted any photos of the 50th anniversary fete that was held at 'Hexwood Farm'.
It would of been nice for folk to have shared a few here, with Weazlers, especially those who weren't able to attend.
Even a small piece on how the day / weekend went would of been nice.
Carol (Barnes) as you'll know, put a lot of effort into the fete.. Arranging it all, setting it all up (which is a task in itself - let alone the day itself) so that it could take place.
Please find time, if you can, to email Carol (Carol's email can be found in the Catweazle Fan Club website) with your piccys and memories of the day..
Even if you didn't attend the fete it would be nice to email her anyway, with your appreciation for everything that she's done over the years to keep the Catweazle fan club going... You could also send her your memories of Catweazle when you first saw it, as a child or later as an adult.
Us 'Weazlers' As fans of Catweazle, are a family - Brothers and Sisters in Magic.. we need to keep the spirit alive.. the memories of Geoffrey Bayldon, Robin Davies and all the characters of both series, including, of course, the wonderful 'Kip' Carpenter who created and wrote Catweazle.
So, please find time to pop an email to Carol, giving your memories of Catweazle and showing your appreciation for what Carol has done to keep the spirt of Catweazle alive.
Many thanks.

How many would you suppose that are members of this club took any pics on the day? The reason I'm asking is that when I log on, I see the vast amount of members either haven't logged on since joining or haven't logged on in a long time. What'skeeping them away I wonder? Is there a Facebook page which they may see as more attractive regards information and chats? I don't do social media such as FB etc so was wondering if anyone had any ideas of drawing these members here a bit more than they already do.

I don't do social media such as FB etc so was wondering if anyone had any ideas of drawing these members here a bit more than they already do. I've no idea how many people attended the 50th anniversary and no idea how many of those who attended would of taken photos.. I couldn't attend. That's why I was asking folk who did attend to share, so folk who didn't or couldn't attend could see them and read about the day! I don't do Facebook either.. But i assume quite a few do.. I gather that the Facebook is an open page, that's to say ANYONE can read it.. Thus by giving out this site could attract non members, whereas this site, as far as I know, is for members only. Although I'm not too sure about that, because you can read certain threads but only if you are a member you get to see more (member only threads). What's the answer, to attract more people to engage here - i don't know. The ones already on here don't even engage that much! , but I would encourage folk here to email Carol Barnes showing their appreciation for what she has done over the years and maybe share their memories of Catweazle.

This sales video for Home Farm provides a bit of a fly through and around for those of us who've never been. A few of the spaces are directly relatable to rooms featured in 1970, and therefore, I find that the property still has strong tangible links: . I'm not suggesting though that its a remotest substitute for photos of clips of the 50th anniversary gathering, but in the absence of anything else posted....

I've never been inside, though I suspect the cameras didn't go that far inside either. There are things inside that don't marry up properly with what you see in the episodes, which makes me think that most of the interior scenes were actually filmed on studio sets at Halliford Studios - and that they were based roughly on what was present at the actual house.

The layout of the bathroom still seems to make sense and I feel that the kitchen is recognisable, as is the fireplace and the stairs. The barn of course is plausibly related too.
I did read somewhere (in the site) that someone was convinced that most of it was actually filmed on site, but I'm in a no position than to try and join a few dots with far less direct involvement than you've had. Without someone purpose filming to demonstrate connections its definitely a little hard to see how much of the home remains the same.
Seems that most members don't engage with the site much at all: the fact that no one has uploaded any photos of the 50th doesn't indicate much of a heartbeat I feel.

Here's a longer video of the sales pitch..It's around 7 minutes long and was put up on YouTube by the estate agents 6 months ago.. Whether it's been successful in a sale, I know not. 👇

Hi Alan, yes, I'd seen that one too - quite some effort gone into the production. Not sold: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/136106768#/?channel=RES_BUY. Was reduced on 28 August and still not under offer. Maybe slightly too glamorous a proposition for the location? East Clandon doesn't seem to have too much going on. I'm not sure how much you'd be doing with 4 acres in terms of farming - running turkeys?

Actually, it was me who put the other video up, but I'm happy to credit it to Alan 😂 Makes for a lovely home though

Please forgive me for this slip Chas!
Wondering through the main residence of Home Farm might - even now - be capable of giving me goosebumps.
