Catweazle.... Both Series, is, for anyone who didn't know and is interested in Britbox, the subscription service that is a joint venture by the BBC and ITV, now available to watch.
Just thought I'd get that out there. Personally, I, myself, am not interested in Britbox, but some folk maybe.

Well. this is how I've watched the series recently! I didn't know it was available anywhere else. Britbox seems to be great value for money, but I don't know how to get a list of all the series on there. I subscribed through Amazon. If you search for the name of a series you remember, then it might come up. However, if you've forgotten its name, or never even heard of it, then how do you find it?

Welcome to the forum, londonwizard! I don't use Britbox but a common complaint I hear about it is that it's not very intuitive in terms of how it tells subscribers what it actually offers. Looks like you've found that too.
AIUI, the prints of Catweazle on Britbox are recent high definition transfers, though not 'cleaned up', but still better than the DVDs and prints shown on Talking Pictures TV.

The Britbox app itself is far better than accessing via Prime. On Prime there's no way to search for things on Britbox only nor is the layout very good so that you can see new things added and other subjects. The only reason I subscribe via Prime is because that allows me to download Britbox content to a laptop for easy transfer to USB or disc. There were 2 good deals recently around Black Friday. Britbox themselves did a 1 year sub for £29.99 so I took that up for most of my Britbox viewing. One good thing they do is adding recent ITV dramas , often straight after episode 1 airs and allow you to watch the whole series all with no ads, although rather stupidly rather than support previous subscribers who have lapsed the deal was for new customers only although that was a simple matter of using a different email.
And it was possible to sign up via Prime at £3 a month for 3 months so I went for that too. As I posted in another thread, a cold viewing of Catweazle on Britbox seemed disappointing because of the lack of restoration but once downloaded , burned to Bluray then watched properly showed they are way better than the dvd's specially if you run them side by side.
