Look in arrived in January 1971 at the same time as series 2 started. Issue 3 has a colour feature and Catweazle cover. The picture strip itself doesn't appear until issue 2 of 1972 lasting until issue 48, and he's also in the Summer Special of that year. Picking up large numbers of Look In from these early years can be expensive but there are several ebay sellers offering discs with scans although you have to search to find the ones that offer the most issues and unbroken years.
As Network had scans of the annuals on their dvd's maybe a reissue or Bluray might include the picture strips too.

If Network's recent form is anything to go by, any Catweazle reissue on Blu-ray will sadly feature just the episodes and no extras at all. (But to see the episodes looking and sounding so much better than on DVD would be compensation enough! I would very much welcome a remaster of the series on Blu-ray - the original films DO survive allowing for such a release.)
Of course, Catweazle was originally included as picture strips in TV Comic before the rights moved to Look-In.

Yes, Catweazle started in TV Comic issue 949 of February 1970. But already appeared in the TV Comic Annual 1969. More details can be found on the excellent website: murdersville.co.uk/museum/?s=catweazle

I presume that the TV Comic Annual was given as 1970 but published in 1969. Annuals were always for the forthcoming year, and obviously Catweazle wasn't around to be in the TV Comic Annual 1969 (published 1968).
